SANTIAGO.- Something uncommon took place on Colo Colo today. Coach Gualberto Jara held a closed-door practice at the Monumental Stadium and also announced from the club that "there will be none of the usual press correspondence".
Though it is widely known that Colo Colo has only a slight chance of making it to the next phase, the team insists that as long as there is a mathematical possibility, the fight will go on.
For this Saturday's match against Cobresal, Colo Colo will not be able to count on the participation of suspended players Gonzalo Jara and Rodrigo Meléndez, nor that of injured teammates Cristian Muñoz, Arturo Sanhueza and Macnelly Torres.
Gualbeto Jara has put forth an offensive formation this week that consists of three forwards. Francisco Prieto will be the goal keeper, and there will then be a line of four defense players, with Yerson Opazo, Miguel Riffo, Luis Mena and Roberto Cereceda.
The midfield and forward will feature new developments. Luis Pedro Figueroa will return to the right field group and Paraguayan national Domingo Salcedo will move to the center to free up Rodrigo Millar, who will cover the left field.
In the front, Daud Gazale, César Carranza and Sebastián González will form the offensive trio, although it is likely that Lucas Barrios will be at 100% and able to start.
