SANTIAGO.- Chilean driver Francisco López finished at number 13 on the second day of the Rally Sardinia, dropping him to 6th place in the general ranking for the competition.
The Curicó native completed the 350 kilometer leg between the towns of Arbataz and Arborea finishing sixth with a good first special stage of 73.85 kilometers, but fell behind in the last 57.94 kilometers.
López gave up his fifth position in the general ranking to French driver David Casteau, who came in just over two seconds ahead of him. Meanwhile, Spanish driver Marc Coma came in first place almost 12 minutes ahead of López.
The third leg of the 350 kilometer rally will take place tomorrow, with two special phases of 64.87 and 50.48 kilometers leaving from Arborea.
