SANTIAGO.- The Chilean National Soccer Team has now completely adjusted to the time change in Hirono, Japan, and is working out the finishing touches for their debut against a local team at the Kirin Cup on Saturday.
The Chilean team held a two-hour practice session today, concentrating once again on strategic movements for defensive blocking as well as offense tactics that players will implement the moment the game begins. Later, the team held another training session on the fields next to the J-Village complex.
Players Joan Muñoz and Gary Medel did not attend the practices, although both should be able to play at Saturday's match.
The group of players set to go up against the local Japanese team is almost confirmed. The squad that Bielsa may call to the field consists of: Miguel Pinto; Gonzalo Jara, Gary Medel, Marco Estrada; Fernando Meneses, Manuel Iturra, Roberto Cereceda; Gonzalo Fierro, Eduardo Rubio and Jean Beausejour.
After the game against Japan, the Chilean team plans to travel to Seoul for a friendly match against South Korea. Bielsa and team managers however, are still considering the possibility of staying on in Tokyo until Tuesday in order to avoid cold temperatures in the South Korean capital.
