SANTIAGO.- Home debtors are not on vacation, and they certainly do not plan to respect the vacation of the President. After elaborate protests at the National Congress, along Alameda Avenue and in front of the home of Michelle Bachelet, the group is now planning a demonstration in front of the President's cabin on Lake Caburgua, where Bachelet spends her summer vacation with her daughters and friends.
According to Juana Silva, who is the leader of Andha Chile (an organization of home debtors), protestors will be using boats to reach the area.
Although she declined to give specific details about the rally, Silvia stated that the demonstration will not be "as peaceful" and that it will be held "this week" after all of the protestors have arrived to the area.
Silva, who has been in Concepción since yesterday along with some 10 other members of Andha Chile, said that she will remain in the city to wait for tomorrow's arrival of another group of debtors. Once all of the protestors have arrived (approximately 30 people), the group will agree on a time to begin the demonstration.
"We are getting ready", said Juana Silva, who added that the group is not worried about the presence of police near the President"s summer home.
