SANTIAGO.- Ennio Morricone made no statements upon his arrival in Chile this morning. The Italian composer, who has two free concerts scheduled at Santiago´s Parque Bicentenario arrived in the country at 9:38 AM this morning after taking a long Iberia flight from Europe.
A team of 120 people made up of musicians and technicians arrived along with the “La Misión” composer. The group will be in charge of setting up the stage for the concerts on Wednesday, the 19th and Thursday, the 20th of this week.
Morricone remained in the VIP area of the Santiago Airport and made no statements. He was seen accompanied by his wife and seemed to be in good spirits as he smilingly approached cameras and waved, but did not wish to speak.
After leaving the airport, Morricone will be able to rest at the Hyatt hotel before attending his first rehearsal at 7:00 PM this evening at the San Francisco Church, along with his team and the University of Chile choir.
