Police assist childbirth at home in Renca

SANTIAGO.- Thanks to help from police officers, 25 year-old Loreto Soto Meza was able to give birth to her new baby at her home, located on Miraflores Street in the municipality of Renca.

Her husband, 46 year-old Henry Mora Sepúlveda, called police for help after realizing that his wife was showing signs of being in advanced stages of labor at their home.

Upon arriving at the residence, the officers proceeded to help the woman with the birth of her baby boy, which occurred without complications.

After the birth, the woman and her baby were taken to the Félix Bulnes hospital, where the doctor on duty at the time, Roxana Vega Sobarzo, examined the two and announced that they were both in perfect health.
